Another great year for Cirrus Assessment!
2016 has been an extremely exciting year for Cirrus. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about some of the highlights both for our users and for us as a company.
The Cirrus family continues to grow and in September we opened our first office in the USA. We are delighted to be able to serve our US customers locally as well as our European customers from the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Looking back a year, our user numbers have grown by more than 10 times and we are looking at even more significant growth for 2017.
In July we signed a partnership agreement with US online proctoring company ProctorU
. We are delighted with this partnership as it enables us to offer an even more flexible exam delivery solution to our users. We are already working together with ProctorU and customers to deliver high-stakes exams using online proctoring.
Our goal has always been to deliver the most intuitive and innovative platform on the market. During 2016 we’ve made significant improvements to the platform with regard to both functionality and user experience. But we are not done yet! Our product team has never been stronger and we are working tirelessly to make our product even better. This month will see many great new features added to the Cirrus Platform, including seed-item functionality, multiple test forms, additional question types and survey functionality alongside numerous smaller enhancements.
We invest heavily in making the user experience as intuitive as possible for our users. The team consists of visual and interaction designers as well as front-end developers. Our goal is to make sure everyone has a great experience with Cirrus no matter which device they are using.
Looking forward to next year
In 2017 we will continue to grow the organisation, looking into new countries and partnerships. The product development will continue unabated. Some of the things you can look forward to in 2017 include enhanced reporting and business intelligence capabilities, further support for open standards such as IMS LTI and REST API and improvements to the core workflow as well as digital content. As always we will continue to perfect the user experience.
On behalf of the Cirrus team, I would like to thank everyone who has made all this possible and for your faith in the Cirrus concept. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
